Elbert County is a county in the State of Colorado of the United States. The county population was 25,231 at U.S. Census 2016. The county seat is Kiowa.
History
The county was named for Samuel Hitt Elbert, the Governor of the Territory of Colorado when the county was formed on February 2, 1874.
