Adams County is a county in the State of Colorado of the United States. The 2016 U.S. Census Bureau estimates that the county population was 498,187. The county seat is Brighton.

Adams County is named for Alva Adams, Governor of the State of Colorado 1887-1889, 1897-1899, and 1905.
