Hinsdale County is a county in the State of Colorado of the United States. The county population was 790 at U.S. Census 2000. The county seat is the Town of Lake City.

Hinsdale County is named for George A. Hinsdale, a prominent pioneer and former Lt. Governor of Colorado.
