Adams County is a county in the State of Colorado of the United States. The United States Census Bureau estimates that the county population was 430,826 in 2008. The county seat is Brighton.

Adams County is named for Alva Adams, Governor of the State of Colorado 1887-1889, 1897-1899, and 1905.
